Bunko Kanazawa (金沢文子 Kanazawa Bunko) (born April 4, 1979 in Kanagawa prefecture) is a prolific and well-known Japanese adult film actress.

Much of her film exemplifies the typical style of classic Japanese adult film. She often appears dressed as a schoolgirl and appears in several unusual fetish films, including Meijiri (女尻), a film which focuses on various manipulations of her posterior.

Sometime in 2005, she started making uncensored movies for a studio/website called Tora Tora Tora. This studio is probably located outside Japan, and it is therefore not governed by Japanese censorship laws. These movies are nowhere near the production quality of the ones from Bunko's early career. Some of these recent movies credit her as Fumiko Kanazawa.

Her hobbies include cooking and karaoke.

Her stage name, given to her by her agency, is taken from Kanazawa Bunko, a museum and historic library in Kanagawa Prefecture, where she lived at the start of her career. It was often shortened to "Kanabun", a nickname which she herself disliked.

 Overseas popularity

She has a wide following both inside and outside Japan, particularly in the U.S. and the UK. The UK in particular has a very strong schoolgirl uniform pornography subculture, much of it now sold 'under the counter' because of legal concerns. Bunko Kanazawa has become something of a role model for some schoolgirls in the South of England in particular, where they can sell themselves to pornographers keen to exploit the schoolgirl uniform market.[citation needed]

A strong rumour spread around the UK in September 2000 that she was shooting a schoolgirl porn film in Alton Towers theme park, and there was surprise (and concern) at the large numbers of lone middle-aged men wandering the park with camcorders asking if anyone had seen a Japanese schoolgirl with a film crew. Several worried parents reported these men to the police, and there is still conjecture as to whether the famous star joined the Alton Towers crowds that day or not.
