Poor Emma Watson. At the premier of the latest Harry Potter film in London this week a bad choice of outfit caused her to flash her knickers to a crowd of thousands.
When Emma Watson appeared on the David Letterman Show this week the host was quick to point out her mistake. "Tell us what's going on here,' David Letterman said, putting a copy of the picture on his desk.
The embarrassed 19-year-old actress, who plays Hermione Granger in the Potter films, had nowhere to turn but luckily managed to keep it together. Blushing, Emma Watson replied: "At least I was wearing underwear. I don't actually remember it happening."
Although Watson may have been in blissful ignorance of the event, hundreds of camera flashed away as Emma in turn flashed her knickers, which were clearly visible beneath her free-flowing vintage 1970s Ossie Clark dress.
The premier was held in order to promote Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is released in cinemas on July 15th. This is the sixth Harry Potter film and is expected to be as big a hit as the previous five.
