Playboy's "Girl Next Door" Holly Madison set for ring-girl duties at UFC 100

Playboy's "Girl Next Door" Holly Madison set for ring-girl duties at UFC 100

Holly Madison, who starred in Playboy's popular "The Girls Next Door" reality show on E!, will serve as an honorary ring girl at Saturday's UFC 100 event.

The 29-year-old model and television host first hinted at the possibility on Twitter earlier in the week.

And in Part 2 of Dana White's UFC 100 video blog, which was released today, Madison (wearing a ring girl uniform) is seen talking to White and getting tips for Saturday's event duties.

The "vlog" was followed by an official announcement from the UFC today.

"It's been a dream of mine since becoming a fan of the UFC and watching the incredible athleticism of the fighters to do the honors of being an octagon girl for a night," Madison stated.

Madison will work with regular card girls Arianny Celeste, Edith Labelle and Logan Stanton on Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

"UFC 100 marks the biggest event in the history of our company, so it's the perfect time to bring in the ultimate octagon girl, Holly Madison," UFC President Dana White stated. "Not only is Holly one of the world's most beautiful women, but she is a huge fan and supporter of the UFC, and we're looking forward to having her with us on July 11."

Madison starred with Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson on "The Girls Next Door," a reality show geared around life at the Playboy Mansion and on tour with the company, from 2005 to 2009. (The series is set to continue with a new set of girls in an upcoming sixth season.) Madison also appeared in various issues and editions of Playboy magazine and Playboy.com.

In his latest video blog, White also explains why he – and not any of the UFC fighters – is featured on the cover of the UFC's new magazine. When asked about it by UFC 100 competitor Mark Coleman, White said fighters such as Georges St. Pierre, Quinton Jackson and Rashad Evans were supposed to be featured.

"We took the picture, and the picture was the worst thing you've ever seen in your life," said White. "So that (photo) was from last year from the Playboy shoot."
